Ways to Succeed
There are five key ways to have a successful freshmen year. One key way is to study hard. If you don't study there is no way you will be successful. When a test or quiz is coming up you need to study your notes, or what the teachers tells you to. Studying is something I always do and I will continue to do throughout high school. Another way to succeed in high school is to ask for help if needed. For example, I'm not a good writer so I asked for help so I can become a better writer. I think doing this kind of stuff is important. The third way to succeed is to be on time. Its important to be on time so teachers know you are responsible. The fourth way to succeed is to be prepared. You need to be prepared for every class with whatever supplies you need for that mod. Being prepared is the most important thing to help you succeed in class. Finally, the fifth way is to take good notes while in class. When you take notes you want to write down key points that the teacher says. Notes are important for studying and open note test. Taking good notes is something that I will have to do for a long time. Overall, I will implement these five ways to succeed at John Carroll.

Human Geo

Human Geo
Today Human Geo was a lot of fun. The whole class period Mr.Schick was making sure we did our blog last night. He was also helping those people who couldn't get there blog working. While he was doing that we could do our homework, study, or talk amongst ourselves. It was just like having an off mod. I didn't have any homework so far, so I sat and talked to my friends! Furthermore, my friends and I talked about John Carroll, and how we love it. We also all agreed that off mods where our favorite thing at John Carroll. It is always nice to have an off mod with your friends. On the other hand, Human Geo was a fun period to talk to friends and make sure that your blog was working. Overall, Human Geo was really fun today, and I look forward to having Human Geo again.

First Day of School

First Day of School
My first day of high school was amazing. The first thing I did was go to my advisory. Advisory is similar to a homeroom, but there are all different grades in there with you. I think advisory is a nice way to meet new people. After that I went to get pictures taken for the yearbook. I wouldn't normally do this, however it was required on the first day. Furthermore, I also went with other ninth grade girls to listen to various speeches talking about discipline, religion and counseling. When the morning was over we were on a two hour late bell.I was really excited to meet all my teachers, and have classes with my friends. I then had mod three and four off. I love having mods off, because they give you time to relax,do homework, and eat. I've never had free mods at my old school, so I love having them at John Carroll. Following my off mods I went to period five and six, which were combined.. After mod five and six I had mods seven and eight off. I was so excited to have four mods off that day! Finally, I finished my day off with two mods. Overall, I felt like the day went by so fast! However, I love John Carroll!
